NATIONAL PRESS SECRETARYThe last time Bob Dole and Newt Gingrich proposed a tax cut of $245 billion, they paid for it with $270 billion in Medicare cuts. Now Bob Dole has doubled the bet, proposing a $548 billion tax cut. The only sensible bet is that Dole will double his earlier proposed cuts in Medicare to pay for it.
